Key Stats:

2018 Offensive Outlook: The switch to the wing t offense will better suit Mercer’s talent for the upcoming season. Dylan Hetrick will once again be the starter under center and will hand to a strong cast of running backs. The offensive line returns many starters who have spent the past few years battling the defensive lines of Sharon, Hickory, Wilmington, Greenville and other Mercer County powers. While some growing pains are to be expected, the Mustangs can’t afford to take too much time to work out the kinks in the new scheme as they start off with a strong opener up at Cochranton

2018 Defensive Outlook: Scott Sigworth who oversaw the state championship defense of the Sharpsville Blue Devils will implement his attacking 5-3 defense. The Mustangs will have plenty of talent returning at all three levels of the defense, but once again will have to get it going quickly.

2018 Special Teams Outlook: The Mustangs will have to replace RJ Carson who was automatic on extra points and field goals, but they do return all other phases of the special teams which should be much improved this season
