Quips got the ball to start the game and they wasted very little time getting on the scoreboard after a run by Pugh to the 39, Jeter finds Jordan for a 61 yard strike, the conversion was no good and Quips are up 6-0. On Central’s first drive they march down the field into Aliquippa territory. Eventually they go for it on fourth down and convert and the Quips get the ball at their 18. They did nothing on that drive and punted it away. Later in the quarter Central has the ball and Benton throws an interception to Kaezon Pugh and he returns 30 yards for a touchdown the score is 14-0 with 2:49 in the first. Not much occurs the rest of the quarter and the Quips lead 14-0 after one. In the second quarter Aliquippa has the ball and on one play the Quips fumble it and Central recovers. They would take advantage of the turnover and eventually score when Benton finds Dodson for a 48 yard touchdown. The score is 14-7 with 2:26 in the half. The Quips get deep into Central’s territory and end up going for it on fourth down and they throw an interception and that’s the end of the half with the Quips up 14-7. In the third quarter Central has the ball at the Quips 31 and it is 4th and 1. The Quips get a major stop and they get the ball back. That drive resulted in nothing with Jeter getting sacked twice. On the following drive Central drives the field and they eventually score when Benton connects with Helsel for a 21 yard touchdown. It is 14 all with 3:13 in the third. That would be the score at the end of 3. In the fourth Central drives down the field and they eventually take the lead when Benton finds Helsel for a second time and Central leads 21-14 8:10 left. The Quips need an answer and they respond in a big way they run down the field with several runs by Pugh and Fooks. Eventually Pugh scores from 9 yards out and with a 2 point conversion the Quips regain the lead 22-21 with 5:18 left. On the next drive Benton throws an interception and the Quips have it at the 30. Eventually Pugh would score again from 16 yards out. Central is faced with 4th and 5 and a pass is complete but the reciever is tackled short of the chains. The Quips are moving onto Hershey with a third straight rally! They will play the winner of West Catholic v.s Southern Columbia.
