Tiger turns Panthers, Pitt is it for Todd Thomas

Written by: on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Beaver Falls standout Todd Thomas has decided to attend Pitt after his high school career, and what a career it has been for Thomas. Who has been amazing at both football and basketball for the Tigers in his years. A few days ago he made a verbal commitment to the panthers.

It will be a task to see what Thomas will play at the collegiate level, at the time for the Tigers Todd stars at receiver, running back and defensive back. It will also be a task for Todd to get into school, as he has yet to score high enough on his SAT to be eligible as a freshman and has thought about possibly attending a prep school for a year.

Going in to Week 8, Thomas had rushed for 477 yards on 58 carries, caught 12 passes for 400 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. Todd and the Tigers will take on New Brighton (2-5) in the final game of the season on Friday.

Beaver Falls and Thomas is looking for a WPIAL Championship in football, and maybe even a trip to Hershey in his senior season. If you remember the Tigers fell to Terrell Pryor and the Jayhawks last year in the WPIAL Championships in both Football and Basketball.
