2017 WesternPAFootball.net Rankings, Week 7

Written by: on Thursday, October 12th, 2017

WoW! The rankings took a hit this week, let’s get right to it!

6A got all jumbled up as State College, Erie and Penn Hills all went down. McDowell back after their big win over crosstown Erie HS. Highlight game this week is Mt Lebo @ Peters

The 5A battle was USC over West A in OT…we didn’t punish them too bad, great game! Things don’t get any easier for USC this week.

In 4A the top 5 didn’t change, but it will this week. Two monster matchups this week as TJ and BVA bang helmets while in Johnstown its a cross town rivalry for the Trojans and McCort. We welcome back Clearfield and New Castle.

3A also has a couple battles for the top as the Quips take their shutout streak to Quaker Valley and the Rebels put their undefeated streak on the line. The Aliquippa defense hasn’t allowed a single TD this year.

We nearly had a change at the top when Wilmington barely escaped Greenville. But as all season, 2A never changes. It’s a tough class. There are three big games to watch here. The Ironmen host East Allegheny, Berlin gets a tough Windber team and Bellwood-Antis takes on Mt Union. Last week Trojan RB Daunte Martin had him a game with 7 Tds and a whole bunch of yards in the first quarter.

Single A is another tough nut to crack. Farrell is back and they host the Blue Devils. Rochester took their first loss of the year and they have to try and rebound with the states highest scoring team, California. Fort Cherry is a newbie here. Ryhan Culberson is playing lights out ball this year. Curwensville is the other new team to 1A.

Well, that’s the wrapup, here are the rankings!
