Bellefonte will defend D6 Title after thrashing Bradford to advance @Bradford_Owls @BASDScoreBoard

The Bellefonte Red Raiders and the Bradford Owls faced each other in the District 6 Semi-Finals last night at the Bald Eagle Area High School field. The Bellefonte walked away from the game with a 58-18 win and will be advancing to the next round of the District 6 Finals.
Bellefonte kicked off the game to Bradford, and the Owls quickly held control of the ball at Bellefonte’s 1-yard line. In less than a minute after kickoff, Bradford’s running back Donny Pattison ran for a 1-yard touchdown. The owl’s missed the PAT, but lead the game 6-0 with 11 minutes left in the first quarter. Shortly afterward, Pattison ran for another 1-yard touchdown, putting the owls at a 12-0 lead. The owls failed an attempted 2 point conversion, and Bellefonte got the ball on their own 41-yard line after the kickoff. Bellefonte’s kicker Chris Persiko added the Raider’s first points to the scoreboard with a field goal; running back C.J. Funk ran for a 4-yard touchdown with less than a minute left in the first quarter. Persiko tacked on the PAT, but Bradford still leads the game at the end of the first quarter 12-10.
In the second quarter, Bradford punted the ball to Bellefonte, where they held the ball on Bradford’s 34-yard line. Bellefonte quarterback Kyle Myers ran for a 13-yard touchdown, putting the Raiders ahead in the game. Persiko tacked on the extra point, and Bellefonte leads 17-12. Funk returned a punt 70-yards for a touchdown, and Persiko again added the extra point. Bellefonte leads 24-12 with 8 minutes left until halftime. Funk proved to be an unstoppable offensive player in the game and ran for a 3-yard touchdown. Persiko added the extra point and Bellefonte lead 31-12 at the half.
Bellefonte continued their momentum into the third quarter as tight end Noah Badger returned a kick 60-yards for a touchdown; PAT was good, and Bellefonte leads 38-12. Funk added more points to the scoreboard with a 1-yard rushing touchdown and a successful PAT by Persiko. Bellefonte was ahead at the end of the third 45-12.
Myers started off the final quarter with a 10-yard rushing touchdown for Bellefonte, but the PAT was missed. Second string quarterback Logan Houser ran for a 4-yard touchdown, with a successful PAT following. Bradford answered as Pattison ran for a 35-yard touchdown afterward, but a failed PAT attempted by Abbie Nuzzo. These would be the last points added to the scoreboard, and the game final was 58-12 Bellefonte.
Bellefonte will now be preparing for their game next Friday against Clearfield, as they face 0ff for the District 6 Champions title. The game will be held at Dubious on November 9.
