A member of Pennsylvania’s recruiting class of 2014 has already decided where he wants to continue his collegiate football career.
Chandler Kincade, a 6’4, 210-pound sophomore quarterback for Blackhawk High School in Beaver County, issued an oral declaration to Pitt today, according to national recruiting services Scout.com and Rivals.com.
The Panthers were the only Division-1 FBS program to verbally offer Kincade a scholarship – done prior to the start of his sophomore season. Penn State and Ohio State had expressed interest in the Cougars’ sophomore, but didn’t extend a verbal scholarship offer.
Kincade played in only five games for Blackhawk his past season due to a shoulder injury. He connected on 38-of-67 passes for 538 yards and four touchdowns. For his career, Kincade has thrown for 1,277 yards and 11 touchdowns, connecting on 101-of-185 passes.
The Cougars went 5-4 in 2011 and failed to qualify for the WPIAL AAA playoffs for a second consecutive season.
