District 9 Game of the Week: Ridgway at Bradford

Now a third of the way through the season, a few District 9 teams have statement wins under their belts as the jockeying for playoff positioning really gets underway.
One of those statement victories came from Redbank Valley in a 24-20 comeback win against Elk County Catholic in last week’s District 9 Game of the Week.
The Bulldogs got out to an 18-6 lead, but the Crusaders rallied to grab a 20-18 advantage just before the half. The score remained 20-18 until Redbank quarterback Keaton Kahle found Ethan Hetrick in the end zone for a 4-yard touchdown pass with 5:18 to play.
The win kept the Bulldogs atop the District 9 Small School South standings (tied with Clarion-Limestone at 2-0) and marked them as the team to beat in the division.
We turn our attention to the Large School division for this week’s Times Observer District 9 Game of the Week.
Three teams are tied for the division lead at 3-0, Brockway, Clarion and Ridgway. Lurking right behind is Bradford at 2-1. The Owls get a chance to climb the division ladder, while the Elkers can prove to everyone they belong at the top when Ridgway travels to Bradford for the District 9 Game of the Week . . . more
