The last two meetings between Penn-Trafford and Connellsville where a blowout. For the first couple minutes it seemed like this game would be a competitive one. Then Penn-Trafford rattled off 57 unanswered points. The Warriors scored two touchdowns in the 1st quarter including a touchdown run by junior quarterback Gabe Dunlap. Thd Warriors decided to go to backup sophomore quarterback Ethan Carr who ended up scoring a touchdown run in the second quarter. That would be the first of four touchdowns in the 2nd quarter. The half ended with Penn-Trafford up 45-0 over Connellsville
In the second half, the Warriors put on their second stringers and picked up two more touchdowns. The first was a touchdown by sophomore running back Nate Frye . The second was by sophomore defensive back Brad Ford who picked off a pass and ran it back for a touchdown. Ford also took snaps at quarterback to finish up the game. Conellsville managed to put three points on the board to make the final 57-3
Penn-Trafford offense was able to spread the ball around, in not just the passing game, but the running game. Five different players scored rushing touchdowns for the Warriors, Gabe Dunlap, Caleb Lisbon, Nick Frye, and Sam Fanelli. Connellsville couldn’t stop the the Warriors’ line on both sides of the ball. Penn-Trafford will have to use their amount of talent and size to beat the undefeated McKeesport Tigers on the road next week.
