The Allegheny 8 Conference game between Peters Township at Chartiers Valley had playoff implications.  A win for Peters Township would give them a 5A playoff berth and would keep their run at the section championship alive. In convincing fashion, the Indians clinched a spot in post-season play for the second year in a row with a 41-24 win over the Colts .

Sophomore running back, Michael Peyton joined the scoring with with a 1-yard touchdown run. In the second half, the Colts capitalized on an Indian turnover to score first.  After recovering the ball in Indian territory, Colts quarterback, Griffin Beattie, scored on a 3-yard quarterback keeper.  Peters Township’s Ryan Magiske responded with a 30-yard rushing touchdown. With under a minute to go in the game, the Colts scored again when Beattie connected with Thomas Heckroth on a 17-yard touchdown pass.
