Warriors outlast Rams in a wild thriller, earn trip to Heinz

In a game that went back and forth it was a true thriller to watch. Penn Trafford wasted no time on their first drive. On a big play Brett Laffoon finds Timmy Vecchio for a 69 yard touchdown. On the Rams first drive they strike right back they drive down the field and eventually Jimmy Graf scores a 5 yard touchdown. The extra point was blocked and Warriors still lead 7-6. Penn Trafford drives down the field after getting it to midfield Lisbon gets 2 carries getting to the 28. The Rams do hold the Warriors to a field goal to make it 10-6. The rest of the quarter nothing major occurs, the quarter ends with the Rams in the red zone though.
The second quarter begins and on 4th and Goal they go for it and fail to get the ball in the end zone. After a Laffoon run to the 42 on one play, he throws an interception which is returned by Simpson for a touchdown and Rams now lead 13-10 with 9:09 in the second. On 3rd and 15 Laffoon finds Vecchio to the 24 for a first down. Lisbon runs it to the 11 the following play. Eventually Laffoon connects with Lisbon for a 14 yard touchdown. On the next drive Rams get into Warriors territory and Graf gets a carry add on a personal foul and the ball is at the 16. Eventually Graf scores on a 1 yard touchdown. The quarter ends on a Laffoon completion and Pine Richland is up 20-17.
The second half begins and the Rams don’t get any points on the opening drive. The first scoring drive was by the Warriors a major play that set it up was a pass to Vecchio and a personal foul to the 10. Eventually Laffoon scores on a 1 yard run and Warriors have the lead yet again. On the following drive Rams punch right back. They’re at midfield and Jurkovec finds a receiver down to the 10. Eventually Graf scores from 12 yards out and Rams are on top 27-24 with 2:27 in the third. The third ends with the Warriors at the 32.
Penn Trafford starts the final quarter with a long drive with a combination of runs and throws. On one play Lisbon gets the carry and is down to the 11 but he fumbles it and Rams recover. After one play Jurkovec throws an interception and Warriors have it at the 5. Warriors waste no time scoring on the first play on a 5 yard touchdown run by Laffoon. Warriors have the lead 31-27, with 4:48 left. Rams get it back and they eventually get it past midfield on a run by Jurkovec to the Warriors 45. Eventually they face a must convert 4th and 3 and a pass falls incomplete but a pass interference call keeps the drive alive. Eventually Jimmy Graf scores on a 8 yard run and Rams lead 34-31 with 52 seconds left. Warriors start at their own 42. After an incompletion Laffoon connects with his receiver to the Rams 42. He throws again to Lisbon down to the 34, and to Vecchio down to the 20. On the next play Laffoon connects with Tyler Bruno for a 20 yard touchdown with 7 seconds left and the Warriors side of the stadium is going absolutely crazy. Rams can’t do anything and Warriors are going to Heinz Field.
