PITTSBURGH – It is no secret how Pittsburgh Central Catholic has won games 12 games this season, it fits the Pittsburgh blue collar way.

Running the football and great defense.

Central Catholic (13-0) defeated Woodland Hills 27-7 in the WPIAL quad-A Championship game Saturday afternoon at Heinz Field.

Luigi Lista-Brinza lead the Vikings with 136 yards rushing on 27 carries and two touchdowns from 13 and 4 yards respectively in the Vikings 4th WPIAL title.

The games second score would prove to be the most bizarre, when Central punted but the ball did not cross the line of scrimmage, and Centrals Graham Adomitis grabbed the ball and ran 66-yards for the score.

Woodland Hills only score was a 1-yard run by Harry Randall that made it 20-7 in the 3rd quarter.

Central Catholic defense was as good as advertised holding the Wolverines to 141 total yards on 48 plays.

Pittsburgh Central Catholic will play the winner Erie McDowell (6-5) and Mifflin County (6-6) in the PIAA quarterfinals next week.
